The Eagle Mountain Area
Southmoor is located in the north-central part of Utah, in the northern part of Utah County. This area is generally called the Provo/Orem metropolitan area. Provo is the Utah County seat. However, it is very close to the Salt Lake City metropolitan area. The areas encompassing the valleys of Salt Lake County and Utah County are referred to as the Wasatch Front.
Provo is located approximately equal distance from Denver, Phoenix, and all major west coast cities, including Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle. The Provo/Orem area is approximately 45 miles south of metropolitan Salt Lake City, which is the financial center for the Intermountain Region. This region encompasses all of Utah, southern Idaho, southwestern Wyoming, and eastern Nevada.
